Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-07-13. ProTradesman is operated by Praethos LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the ProTradesman website and mobile apps.

What we collect

• Account information: name, email, phone number, business name, trade, state, license number (optional), and your SMS consent record (timestamp, IP, device).
• Questions and photos: the questions you ask, any photos you attach, and the answers generated for you, so your history works and we can improve answer quality and safety.
• Usage and device data: basic usage metrics (question counts, session activity), IP address, and user agent for security and abuse prevention.
• Payment data: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep subscription status and invoice amounts.
• Cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and, if you arrive through a partner or referral link, a first-party cookie remembering that code for up to 60 days.

How AI answers work

Your questions and attached photos are processed by third-party AI infrastructure providers under contract with us to generate answers and reference images. These providers process your content to provide the service; we do not permit them to use your content to train their models under our agreements. Answers are generated content: they can be wrong, and they are informational, not professional engineering advice. You can flag any answer in the app with the Report control; we review every report.

How we share

We share data only with the service providers that run the product: payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting and database providers, SMS delivery, email delivery, and the AI providers described above. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Question and answer history is kept while your account is active so your history works. Operational logs (IP, user agent) are kept up to 90 days. Anonymized billing records are retained as required for bookkeeping and tax law.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account in the app (Account, then Delete account) or by following the steps at protradesman.app/account/delete. Deletion cancels any active subscription immediately, removes your name, email, and phone number, and permanently deletes your login.

Children

ProTradesman is built for working tradespeople and is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information. Email support@protradesman.app and we will respond within 30 days.
